Delivery of the Spring from the Coiler

The biggest difference between the COLOMBI spring coilers and other ordinary coilers is the fact that a delivery solution is incorporated in the purchase. This means that there is no need to use vibratory feeders, pick and place units or manual labour to get the spring from the coiler to the end product. COLOMBI offers delivery solutions that work in everything from fully automated product lines to manual assembly stations. Whether the springs are supposed to be mounted in a hole or on a pin, we offer customized delivery solutions according to your application and needs.
Delivery of one spring to one assembly point
The easiest and most common way to feed the springs from the COLOMBI coiler to the production line is to blow the springs through a tube. Very small springs are fed to the assembly on a guide wire.
Delivery of multiple springs to one or more assembly points
COLOMBI offers numerous solutions for feeding springs from the spring coiler to multiple assembly points. Whether you need one spring at two or more widely separated assembly points or two or more springs at one assembly point we have a solution. When using a CNC-based COLOMBI coiler it is even possible to have springs with different dimensions delivered from one coiler to multiple assembly points.
Semi automatic delivery solutions
If the COLOMBI coiler is serving a manual assembly station with springs, we provide simple and reliable solutions. The COLOMBI Pick-Up station lets the operator manually pick springs from the unit. Each time a spring is picked up, the coiler delivers a new spring to the Pick-Up station.
Another solution is the COLOMBI Pen Dispenser which in a similar manner lets the operator use a device that resembles a pen to deliver the springs into the end product. Each time the button on the pen is pressed, the coiler is triggered to deliver a spring through the Pen Dispenser. This unit is especially suitable when manually assembling small springs into holes.
The COLOMBI Pick-Up station and Pen Dispenser can be easily integrated with the Colombi spring feeders.
